During my recent stay at Casa Del Mar for the holidays, I found a delightful blend of luxury and relaxed Californian style. Nestled right by the beach, the moment you sink into the rich walnut four-poster bed adorned with calming blues and whites, you truly feel like you’ve stepped into a designer's dream. The attentive staff, especially at the Terrazza, made every mealtime memorable, serving specialties like fluffy ricotta pancakes while I soaked in direct ocean views through dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows. I also enjoyed a curated experience arranged by the beach concierge, who helped me dive into the local art scene, resonating perfectly with my photographic instincts. As a photographer, the hotel’s stunning interior, infused with whimsical coastal details and original works by local artists, provided an endless canvas to capture. With comfortable al fresco dining at the new Patio del Mar and live music by the bar at night, my time at Casa Del Mar was all about discovering beauty, both inside and out. Whether I was sipping cocktails or indulging in a classic Swedish massage, it was simply a fantastic escape.
